Class Descriptions: Belly Dance Fitness: It’s a belly dance party! Grab your girlfriends for an hour of fun and fitness. We’ll break down basic belly dance movements designed to give you a workout you’ll want to stick to. Conditioning exercises, beginning isolations, traveling moves and more will be part of this casual class – no previous dance experience required! Barre Fitness: Ballet-themed workouts are one of the top fitness trends today, popular for conditioning and toning results. First, we'll explore a range of exercises focusing specifically on abdominals, thighs, and glutes. Then we'll use the barre to balance while doing isometric strength training combined with high reps of small range-of-motion lower body movements. Laura was certified by Barre Above® in July 2018 Gentle Barre: Discover a softer side of barre! Gentle Barre focuses on targeted stretching and isolations to lengthen and tone. Less intense than Laura’s signature Barre Fitness class, this class is perfect for those new to barre, or those who want to build strength through flexibility and balance, as well as improve posture. Gentle Barre incorporates a complete warm-up stretch series, basic ballet positions and exercises at the barre, and movements on the floor to develop lean and elongated muscles. Laura was certified by Barre Above® in July 2018 Core & Conditioning Fitness: Whether you’re new to fitness or have been training for years, core and conditioning workouts can provide greater endurance, energy, and strength for every body. This class works through exercises and isolations targeting the core to develop better posture and prevent back pain and injuries. In addition, we’ll incorporate mat work, cardio, and various bodyweight training for a complete sweat session!
